Alvin Thompson Smith Diaries Transcript
A.T. (Alvin Thompson) Smith was an early Oregon pioneer who participated in the formation of the government of the Oregon Territory, and who also helped to found Pacific University. This collection contains transcripts of his diary, written from 1840 to 1853.

The Congregational Association of Oregon was an organization representing the Congregationalist churches within Oregon and Washington Territory. This collection includes the Association's constitution, by-laws, minutes from 1857-1869, a list of members and associated churches, and a table of all meetings held between 1848-1886.

James Gerrish was an Oregon pioneer of 1844, and a Methodist circuit preacher who worked in Oregon and Washington in the 1850s-1860s. His diaries, dated 1854-1863, record his daily life travelling and preaching to communities on the frontier.
John Smith Griffin Papers
Harvey Clark Collection
Harvey Clark was an Oregon pioneer of 1840 who helped to found Pacific University, and who owned much of the land where the town of Forest Grove now lies. The collection includes one original letter by Harvey Clark dated 1843; a facsimile and transcription of a 1844 letter; a transcription of his 1837 "memory book," a book of verses and notes written by friends; and typed biographical notes about Harvey Clark.
Lyman Family Papers
The Lymans were a family of early Oregon settlers who were active in missionary, educational and literary activities. The bulk of the collection is comprised of correspondence between member of the Lyman family and their friends between the years of 1846 to 1883.

Henry Harmon Spalding Notebook
Henry H. Spalding was a Presbyterian missionary who arrived in the Oregon Territory in 1836. This notebook, which he compiled during the 1850s-1860s, contains writings relating to his daily life as a missionary, farmer and Indian agent.
Henry Harmon Spalding Record Book
Henry H. Spalding was a missionary in the Pacific Northwest who is best known for his work with the Nez Perce from the 1830s-1870s. This record book consists of two parts: the records of the Preble Wigwam of the Order of the Star Spangled Banner, 1855, for which he served as president; and notes from his missionary trip to the Spokane Indians in 1873.
